¡Hola! My name is María Arlandis. I’m from Valencia, Spain. My passion is teaching Spanish. I founded Spanishonline.es, after 5 years working as a Spanish teacher for different schools. I love teaching Spanish via Skype because I can teach people from around the world. I have taught children as well as adults. I have a Masters Degree in Spanish as a Second Language education.
During my education I was a Erasmus Student at Paris 8 Université. Afterwards, I was an exchange Student at Georgia College State University. I learned French in Paris from scratch and brush up my English at Georgia. I was also teaching Spanish at the Language Lab at the GCSU.
There I realized about how important is to learn the idioms and expressions in order to master a language. Because of that I recently published “El español de la calle”, a book that teaches the Spanish Slang available for kindle and electronic devices and also available on a printed version.
I have been an expat myself, so I know how to adapt to the special needs of students moving to Spanish Speaking countries. I am fluent in Catalan, English, and French and I learned Danish (level B2) when I lived in Denmark, so I know how hard can be learning a new language when you are working. At the moment I live in Valencia where I teach Spanish while I’m working on my new book, about cultural and language tips for expats and erasmus.
